My best advice is to sand smooth, repaint, and re-clear. I repainted my super stock iiis and they came out beautifully.

They’re probably pretty cheap. Nobody deserves to die, but sometimes they make it easier than it needs to be.

this is machined aluminum though, sanding would totally make it look wonky - however the corrosion is a bit tough so it may have to be the way

Also, try wet sanding the clear smooth, then hitting it with dedicated wheel paint and clear. They'll look like new.
